Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm home

I am home today. I needed to stay an extra night for observation because my surgery took almost 4 hours due to my "elongated anatomy". My surgeon said he needed some extra time as i was just a bit bigger than his tools allow for and he had to do some extra work. He said had I not lost the 50 pounds pre-op he would've had to open me up. Thank goodness he just took his time and kept it laproscopic. All in all I feel good and I'm taking it one day at a time. Sip, walk, rest.

Cool cool!!  It really is important to get that pre op weightloss.  The surgeon has to work around the liver...  Boring stuff for the next few weeks...Like watching paint dry.

Awesome news!!  Take it easy for a bit. You just had a lot of work done inside you. You did a great job on losing all that weight before your surgery. You got the right mind set now.

Super cool!  Glad to hear that everything went well!   Having a good surgeon, who cares about you and your wishes is important.

Now keep up the routine and enjoy the ride.  Today was my 30 day appt and all is great!  You will be at that milestone before you know it.

Hang on for the ride and let us know how it goes!

I'm glad that so many of the men *****cently had their WLS are responding to you.  I barely remember  the time shortly after my RNYs.  I was just recalling the other night how much I hated pureed chicken.  And, there had been some discussion on TV about using home made pureed food or baby food.  We're so used to sweetened tastes that either choice is hard.  I assume you are still on full liquids.  Your surgeon's nutrionist should have given you lists of what foods to eat at various stages of being post-op.  You may also look at the Diet and Nutrition Forum which is not a discussion forum but does have peer reviews of many food items.  Also, look at the Recipe Forum.  It is ever changing but you can find items you like there.
