What ever happened to silastic bands??
I'll explain for those of you who don't know...But would really like to hear from you who had it put in with your RNY. Several years ago certain WLS surgeons would put in a band around the pouch to prevent it from expanding. Some people were allergic to the band, other had different problems. Many people had no problems and have had them in for years and years.
So I would like to hear from those who had the silastic band in and are a few years out...How are you doing? Do they still put them in? I chose not to have one and am doing OK...
Also are there any medical peer reviews that can be shared?? PS And no, I'm not talking about the Lap Band...
