Introduction
Wow ! Thanks- Im only in my mid 30s but I had back surgery a few years ago so I wont be running anywhere and my joints arent fit for any marathons but- and I hope noone pulls my man card for this- Ive been really getting into water aerobics- especially in the therapeautic heated pool- It has done wonders for me and its how I get the majority of my exercise- Not sure if thats optimal but its been working for me so far !!! LOL
That's great! I had great success when I could walk in a warm water pool. Unfortunately, the gym kicked me out because I fell twice in one week in their parking lot even though I do use a rollator. I fell just getting it out of my trunk. I tried the YMCA, but they use a different chemical treatment of their water and I'm alergic to it. NJ law doesn't allow you in a pool if you have a rash or open wounds. I agree with that but I couldn't get the exercise I need. I really miss that walk in the water. That's all I was doing. The private gym had a 4 ft deep therapy pool that was kept at 90 degrees. The regular pool was 86 degrees and that's just too cool for me. I feel cool/cold most of the time but I feel it more in water.
So, I see nothing wrong with aquatherapy. I just remember that when T. O. had a show, he used to do several exercise in his pool. And, when Donovan McNabb was QB in Philly, he had a house with an indoor pool and used it extensively.

Hey Mark,
Welcome to the Men's Forum and you've come to the right place. When I first started exercising I couldn't do more than 5 minutes on the elliptical before I thought I was going to die. I increased slowly and can now do 60 minutes like a breeze and then go do some weight training. Its a great trip your now on. Hold on to your hat and enjoy the ride!!
Enjoy!
