August 30

So, I have a surgery date. August 30th! I am very excited. I have been on here a while, learning from all of you guys. Thanks for everything thus far, and thanks for what will surely be needed in the near future! Wish me luck!!! (And if you are the praying type, remember me on Tuesday!!!) VSG, here I come!

 I'm normally a very anxious person ( and that's an understatement ).  I put myself in God's hands and asked friends to pray for me.  I later found that I was on prayer lines across the country.  I never felt as calm as I did before my surgeries.  I had a praver circle with my immediate family before heading down to surgery and we simply held hands and said the Lord's Prayer.  It was good for me but it was especially calming for my mother who was 76 back then.

Best of luck Charlie... you'll be seeing some phenomenal changes very soon.

Thanks fellas!  Got everything ready for tomorrow.  About to head to bed.  Gotta get up early in the morning.  Be talking to ya'll again soon, as a post-op patient!  I'm excited.  (Though I'm a little confused as to why I'm not nervous yet.  I thought I would be, but I'm not!  I guess it is the long process of getting approved gave me plenty of time to get used to it.)
