This week's stats:
506.5: All time high 9/9/9 (WW start) - BMI = 63.3
492.4: Tufts Medical Center Program Start 9/20/10
462.5: Lap RNY Surgery day 2/7/11
349.8: Last Week 8/15/11
348.0: This Week 8/21/11 - 1.8 Lbs LOST this week - BMI = 43.5

144.4 lbs lost since starting the Tufts program.
158.5 lbs lost from my all time highest weight.

Another week and another couple of pounds lost. I guess the big weight loss numbers per week are a thing of the past but I am still very happy with losing nearly 2 lbs a week. At that rate I'll be below 300 pounds by my one year anniversary next February. That would be amazing!

This was my first week back to work after vacation and a month and a half of parties, events, vacations etc... that were nothing but troublesome for a proper diet. I did well with eating all week and took in my proper amount of water. I only exercised at the gym two days but was moving all week and continue to feel great.

Had a great FART this week that I needed to mention. My wife and I went to see The Rise of the Planet of the Apes last night in the same cinema that we always go to and I don't remember having so much room and being so comfortable in a movie seat. What a feeling to be able to do normal things that thinner people take for granted. I smuggled in an iced coffee (shhh don't tell the theater) and didn't get any popcorn or snacks. It nearly killed me to pass by the snack bar but you know what? I still LOVED the movie. What a great new life this is!!!

I have also been starting to notice that strangers seem to be nicer to me in public and at work. What I mean is that I seem to get more smiles, door holding, etc... when going to supermarkets and stores, through the halls and in the cafe at work and just in general in public. Has anyone else noticed this as they start to thin down? I never imagined how judged I was constantly by random people / society but it is truly amazing. Funny, I don't feel any mentally different but society is seeing me that way. Oh well, just wanted to throw that out there.

Hope Everyone Has a Great Week!!

I'm definitely in the middle of a stall, its lasting forever and a day, Starting today i'm going to increase my protein intake and increase my walking.  I would like to lose approximately another 15 lbs, but it seems these last 15 lbs are a little hard.

Good Luck.  Crazy how we all seem to get stuck at these "milestone" numbers.  Hang in there and I'm sure you'll get to goal!  Amazing job so far!

Highest weight: 315
Start weight: 1/2011 305
Tufts start weight May 2011: 285
Surgery weight 7/5/2011: 265
Current Weight: 232
Goal Weight: 170ish

I was discharged from the hospital off diabetes meds (Metformin)
Discharged off Crestor (chelesterol) for 2 months
My blood Pressure is down 15 points and I will be cutting
my dosage in half.

My diet consists of straight protein these days. I can't remember the last time I ate a piece of bread or pasta. Iced coffee w/ skim and SF tropical pops are my favorite snacks lately. I will most likely be on unlimited menu next week, but I'm wondering how much other stuff I'll actually get in after the protein. I have had 0 complications, aside from having the scar tissue around my hernia patch cleaned up and dealing with the stabbing pain associated with that heal over for a week or so. The only two things I haven't been able to get down are steamers and mussells.

Wow, those are some impressive FARTs.  Great to hear!  I'm at 6 months and have tried steamers a couple of times.  The problem is that after chewing them to death, they kind of lose their appeal!!  Lobster, on the other hand!!
