I have been lurking for a while and finally decided to post. I have been researching WLS for about 3 months and just had my initial consult last week. I am glad to see a Men's forum and I am sure i will need a good kick in the ass now and then.

A quick synopsis of my journey to this point:
I have been overweight my whole life. I have tried many weight loss programs but have never been able to make any of them stick long term. Currently I weigh almost 400 lbs. I am worried that if I don't get healthy I will run the risk of not being around to watch my beautiful daughter grow up. I never would have considered WLS before she was here as I have aways been relatively healthy and happy with a good self image, but having a child changes everything.

Thanks for listening.

Corey

Welcome Corey,
Feel free to ask any questions ya need answers to. There's nothing too weird or personal you could ask. You can have a honest conversation without having your balls broke. We have a weekly weigh in every Sunday also. It helps to hold us accountable for our actions and once in a while ya get a Atta boy! Congratulations on your decision to get healthy and good luck on your journey.

Corey,
Welcome to the Boy's Board. It sounds as if you are truly motivated to do what it takes. It's not as easy as some might want you to believe, but it's all worth it. Good luck.
