At 56 you're more qualified for the Senior discount at Schlitterbond than lady friend or I were.  I'm not proud.  If it will save me $30-40 bucks, "yeah I'm over 55!!"  (Seriously though, the kid in ticket window did cut us some slack on the age thing even after we told him our ages.)

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Apparently older people use less water at the water park. Or perhaps our bladders are just so weak that we add more that we use.

Sounds like a fantastic day.  Great way to celebrate and enjoy that new mattress.  I am waiting to get to goal and will probably do the same thing as the "mattress hole" that I have is pretty deep and no matter how many times you flip or rotate the mattress it always seems to be there!!  Happy Birthday!!

Congrats on the birthday and the way you handled the family dinner. That's always been a concern for me because I come from a family that LOVES to eat.

Had to chuckle at the "mattress hole". That's exactly what I'm in the process of doing, too. Until losing the weight, I had no idea the mattress had a permanent dent on my side of the bed. It's been driving me crazy for a while.

It's been a rough week again. Still doing 13 hour shifts at work. Also today I had to tear out the basement entry doors (we call them Bilco doors in NJ ) and a few courses of cinder block. It was a hell of a job in the heat but it's done. My weight loss has been decent this week.

HIghest weight. 387

Surgery weight. 384

Last weeks weight 325

This weeks weight. 317

Total weight loss. 70 pounds

So I guess today was my first fart because I certainly couldn't have replaced the doors and cinder block just 2 months ago. Physically it would have been impossible for me.

It's great to be able to do things you couldn't have done before...of course it's greater when it doesn't involve work around the house!

What a wonderful feeling to be able to do things around the house instead of sitting in a chair and thinking about what you would like to do.  Amazing!!  Keep up the good work and keep the FARTs coming!

Two pounds ain't much, but at this point, after being stalled this long, I'll take it.  Changed my routine so that I work out in the morning before work.  Getting up early is no fun (I am NOT a morning person), but neither is getting stuck at wor****il the gym is closed.  This way, I get the workout in no matter what...  And on those rare days when I have an early meeting, I can plan to work out in the evening.

"Fun" weekend - the dogs cornered a skunk under our deck, and it managed to spray all three of them.  Several baths later, the only "slightly" smell like skunk...  The deck, however, is a different story.  Wonder how long it will take for that smell to fade away...  Not the kind of "stink" I was hoping for this weekend!
