Another very busy week and great week as far as keeping on track. I got to the gym three days and did the elliptical for 60 minutes each time and did some circuit training as well. I think this is the best combination for me in regards to weight loss as it has really seemed to kick up my weight loss over the last couple of weeks.
Had a lot of work stuff going on this past week which required more than usual travelling and a lot of meetings but was still able to make some time for me. I always seem to be making good food choices and carry at least one of my EAS Myoplex Lite shakes with me wherever I go. I love those things and at this point in my journey would take one of these over most anything else. Not giving into any temptations. We had a birthday party for my oldest yesterday with cupcakes that had my favorite frosting on them. 37 kids plus parents (Oy Vey!!) and I served up the cake. I didn't even have the slightest urge to have one but did take a lick of my fingers when I was through and that was all I needed!! I'm getting in my 60-80 grams of protein and drinking all of my fluids. I am very rarely, if ever, hungry still. Hope that this feeling stays through the year. I love this honeymoon!!
I have more energy than ever which was evident yesterday as guest were leaving the party and I was sitting in a lawn chair and relaxing. The old 500+ lb version of me would have waved from afar and bid them farewell but I actually found myself with the ability to stand up walk over give hugs and say goodbye like a good host would do. It was really no effort at all whereas last year at this time, forget about it!!
Busy day today as we have three birthday parties to go to. My wife and I are dividing and conquering as our two daughters want to go to two separate parties at the same time and then we will meet up back at the third!! Then we are taking the girls to see Taylor Swift at Gillette Stadium. Again, this time last year the parties would have been a no-go and I would have reluctantly gone to the concert. La Vida Loca!! Then short work week and off to camping for the July 4 week. I am so looking forward to it. Hopefully catch a Striper or two!! I am bringing my PC so will post from the camp site next Sunday!!
Well anyway, hope this post finds all well and hope that you are all having a successful week!

Six pounds in a week is GOOD! Kids should enjoy Taylor Swift.
Between work and a new relationship I don't know if I'm coming, no pun intended thus the correct spelling, or going lately I keep passing myself so much! Thank goodness the price of gasoline is coming down a little bit!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Anyway your comments reminded me of an old poem:
There was a young man from Nantucket,
Who had a D*ck so long he could s*ck it.
To save himself trouble,
He put it in double.
And instead of coming he went!!
Surgery: 5/17/10
Last week: 211.8 lb
This week: 211.4 lb
Loss this week .4 lb
Total loss: 195.6 lb
Back to a more normal week as far as loss (maintenance) is concerned. While I'd like to break either the 200lb loss mark or the 50% of body weight loss, I'm close enough and just enjoying the freedom of movement I'm experiencing (sounds like a bra commercial). I am really enjoying the ability to get out and do stuff...and want to stay active all the time. Odd feeling for me.
I leave early Thursday for a long weekend in Pennsylvania that includes a high school reunion / picnic / day in the sun. This would have not been possible for me just a year ago. I'm grateful to be able to look forward to it. I'll likely check in next week, but I won't have a scale in order to post my weight.
Have a good week and enjoy the long weekend, guys.
Oh, and Mike, as for the limerick ... Don't quit your day job to become a comic.
RNY 5/17/10 highest: 407 lb - maintaining a loss of 200+ pounds and enjoying life
High school reunion sounds like fun for you. Can only imagine the difference in your feelings about going this year, versus in previous years before WLS... Knock 'em dead, dude! (And have lots of fun!)

Wow construction season is really taking off in MN and 13 hour days have me missing the gym alot. I need to make a better effort at getting there. Went to my second support group meeting and it kinda makes you feel good when you see your results compared to others who are cheating themselves. Went to Poison and Motley Crue on Friday and it was nice not worrying about fitting into the seats. Played in a scramble golf tourney yesterday (that we were leading on 17 and then got a snowman) wa****ting the ball good again. Still getting a lot of wows from friends who don't see you all the time and I'm not going to lie that does feel good. Something I don't see many post about is how much better sex is:)
I haven't lost much in my upper legs has anyone else experieced this.?
Have a great week everyone and a safe long weekend!
175: Current Weight
150: Goal Weight
I got my workout up to and hour on the treadmill with my weights as well (I hope they are ok to do together. It is easier to increase the time now since I am a teacher and have a lighter schedule over the summer. Energy level is great and I really feel like I will make my goal this summer.
