Father's Day Sunday Weigh In

One evening a little girl and her parents were sitting around the table eating supper. The little girl said, "Daddy, you're the boss, aren't you?" Her Daddy smiled, pleased, and said yes. The little girl continued "That's because Mommy put you in charge, right?"

Anyway, Happy Father's Day to All of you Dads out there!  Hope you are able to do something you really enjoy today or at the very least kick back and relax a bit!!  I am heading out to play 18 holes of golf this morning at a very nice executive course called Southers Marsh in Plymouth, MA with my best friend. We've got a 7:30 tee time and I'm really looking forward to it!!  Get a round in, visit my dad and head home to spend some time around the pool with my wife and girls.  Very nice day ahead!!

This week's stats:
506.5: All time high 9/9/9 (WW start) - BMI = 63.3
492.4: Tufts Medical Center Program Start 9/20/10
462.5: Lap RNY Surgery day 2/7/11
372.8: Last Week 6/12/11
369.6: This Week 6/19/11 - Lost 3.2 lbs this week - BMI = 46.2

122.8 lbs lost since starting the Tufts program.
136.9 lbs lost from my all time highest weight.

This past week has been very good as far as eating and exercising.  I have been doing well with making good food choices and practicing mindful eating techniques.  I exercised 4 days this past week.  Each of those days I did 60 minutes on the elliptical machine and on Friday I did an hour of the weight machines at Planet Fitness.  Felt great and am still feeling the effects of adding the weight training.

I hit my 15 year anniversary at my job this past week and one notable FART to mention is that there are side chairs at the desks in my company's corporate office that were too narrow for me to sit in so I just usually stood or pulled up someone else's desk chair if I visited anyone else's desk.  Well, I tried to sit in one of those narrow chairs and to my astonishment I fit!!  Crazy as I can't remember how many years its been since I was able to do that.  A good 10 plus I would imagine!! Great feeling!

Well, as I said, I'm off to play golf and are going to keep my post short so that I'm not late for my tee time.

Have a Great Father's Day!  I hope everyone has a great week and most important of all STAY HYDRATED!!

-Seem to started dropping again. Had a plastic surgery consult this week. I thought I still had a lot of fat on my body. But the Dr. Said it's mostly skin. I really want to get my chest and stomach done. He said I did really well with the weight loss. So well that he doesn't think insurance is going to pay for any of it as it isn't causing me any medical issues. Still have to see a couple of more doctors. I'm tired of feeling like i have my own private cheerleading section when I go to the gym. I get applause when i'm on the treadmil. Thank god for Compression shirts and underwear.

- Happy Fathers Day everyone!!!

Good week for me. I've altered my workout routine slightly to include the elliptical machine instead of the treadmill, but it's kicking my butt ... And my knees. The elliptical seems tougher on the knees than the treadmill (I've had surgery on both in the past). I'll just need to work to build up tolerance as I did on the treadmill and stationary bike.

Happy fathers day to all.

Hey Jeff, That is absolutely amazing.  You must be so proud and I can totally relate to feeling great.  I played 18 holes of golf today for the first time since surgery and with almost 140 lbs down from my highest it was like a different game.  I swung better and didn't feel bad about having to walk around the course.  Just all and all a more enjoyable game.  Not that I needed anything to get me out on the links but it is so much better now that I am thrilled beyond belief.   Now that you are at 286 do you have a lower goal number in mind? I know, I hate when people ask me that question but you are getting closer to an ultimate number and I'm just curious as to how you feel at that weight and if you want to continue to lose?  Keep up the great job and look forward to your continued successes!!
