Welcome to the board. You're off to a great start. My best advice is to be prepared for wild changes coming at you quickly. As you run into issues or have questions, and believe it when I say you will, be sure to ask here for advice. The guys on the board are good at sharing their experience and knowledge.

Ditto to what Ken said.  Don't be shy and ask away.  Someone will definitely be there to provide and answer or advice.  Great start on your weight loss and it looks like you are well on your way.  Keep up the good work and best of luck on your journey!!

my recreation property

Isn't that a misnomer!?

Know a bunch of folks who spend more time, work and money on their recreation property than they do on their primary residence!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Although I think losing another 15 pounds would be cool and I not going crazy over it, I know if it is meant to be it will happen and if not I am still a success and have moved to other things more important to me than the number on the scale.

Shoulder injury had me out of the gym for like 4 weeks, I weighed daily so that I could tailor my intake based on the lack of activity.  I managed to stay within my typical fluxuation range so I wasn't to concerned, although during this time I did cut back on the carbs especially breakfast and went more heavy on the protein.  I still supplemented like crazy about 100grams a day as I try to maintain a 160-180gram goal which is near impossible without supplements.

During this down time running was even an off and on thing as sometimes it was ok and other times it killed the shoulder.  During the down time I did run 2 5Ks with little to know training and Set new PRs on both.

Race 1 was sponsored by the hospital that I had my surgery at, a number of patients
ran/walked it and so did the Bariatric surgeons.  I will say it felt pretty damn good beating the
  doctors .

Race 2 was a couple weekends ago and held a few minutes from my house since I was
unable to do my Tri that weeked I decided to just go do a 5k. This one I nailed in 29:04 finally
giving me the long awaited sub 30 finish time.

Both of these races were fairly hilly courses with not a lot of total elevation gain but almost a constant up and down course.

After the second race I started having IT Band problems for over use, I ran 5 days in a row for a total of 17 miles I never! repeat never! do this.

I started Physical Therapy for the shoulder last week and have already seen some big improvements in mobility and lack of soreness and pain except when the arm is in a certain position.

Michael! congrats on the FARTS!  isn't it a completely awesome feeling when we realize we can do something we never dreamed possible like run.  Be proud of your run no matter how long or short for everyone here it has taken a log time and lot of work for us to get to the point we can do something that many people consider so basic.

It was a lesson learned the "hard way".  Fortunately I was home at the time.
