In case anyone still has any doubts about how awesome WLS can be, I just wanted to report that after losing 185 lbs and kicking my co-mobilities to the curb, yesterday I received my FAA medical certificate for flight operations after a 10-year break from flying because of my health!

With just a two-sentence letter from my surgeon's office stating that everything went OK, the local flight surgeon was able to approve and issue the certificate right in his office, after speaking with the folks at the local FAA Flight Standards District Office.  It is great to see that the FAA has such a positive attitude toward WLS.

Thanks again to everyone on this board for their support and encouragement as well!
