Why I decided not to buy a motorcycle...
I dont post here nearly as often as I should, but I do check the forum every once in a while. Part of my post WLS thing was I was going to get a bike, always wanted one, was too big to find any gear or fit comfortablably on anything reasonable to start with. So like some other WLS people, I found my marriage destroyed and a lot of free time to do what I wanted, so the first thing I did after she left was go bike shopping.
Each person has to make his own decision about accepting the risks, but I havent seen it suggested and not sure of your past experience on bikes but have you thought about a MSF course. You get to putt around on someone else bike and see if its for you, good news is about everyone I heard of has the little rebel. Might be able to quench your thirst a bit with some saddle time over a weekend then see if its really for you.
Maybe even a larger mid class 2-300cc scooter even if its just for around town leisure rides.
