I thought "mother's day" came nine months after "father's night"?

Going to do something I promised my mother I would do today.  She has been after me to go to church with her at the new church she attends so that is today.  Little preaching won't kill me.  May even take!  Not doing the eating out thing till later in the week.  If your Mom has passed on remember her fondly today and what she taught you over the years.  If she is still alive - get off your duffs and go see the woman today if possible!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

13 Weeks Post Surgery Update - Happy Mother's Day To All Your Moms!

506.5: All time high 9/9/9
492.4: Tufts Program Start 9/20/10
457.0: Surgery day 2/7/11
392.8: Last Week 5/1/11
392.0: This Week 5/8/11 - 0.8 lbs lost this week

100.4 lbs lost since starting the Tufts program.
114.5 lbs lost from my all time highest weight.

Well, this week started out to be a great one. I was feeling good and I exercised for 90 minutes on Sunday and then got up first thing on Monday and exercised for 30 minutes before work. I was ready to have another banner week. Well, when I was putting on one of my socks after my shower I slipped and pulled something in my back. I had a rough day which got progressively worse after sitting in my chair all day. I got up Tuesday morning in agony so I went to my chiropractor. Continued to see the chiropractor Wednesday and Thursday while suffering through painful days at work. Was feeling ok by Friday night and over did it at my daughter's softball game since the head coach had to leave and left me in charge... Uggh! Had another softball game Saturday morning and was able to take it easier for that one. Still in pain today but slowly getting better. This was a very tough week especially without being able to take NSAIDs as I normally would have done with one of these episodes. I did break down and took a few here and there as the Tylenol didn't touch the pain.

Needless to say I didn't exercise at all after Monday and the numbers on the scale showed it. Only down 0.8 lbs but its still a loss so I'll take it given the week I had! One great milestone wa**** this week though. I broke the century mark for total weight loss since starting the Tufts program last September on 9/20/10. That feels amazing and will help to inspire me this week.

Well, my girls are up now and we are planning on making a nice Mother's Day Breakfast for my wife so I've got to cut this short.

Hope you all have a great week and hope to have much better things to report next week!

 Great work everyone.

I broke 200 today - 199.  Now I'm down 131 lbs since surgery in August.  Can't believe how much better I feel.  My wife is starting to worry I am losing too much !  20 more lbs would be nice by my 1 year date.

Loss this week: 1 lb
Total loss: 184 lb

One pound loss this week. As I move close to my one year surgiversary, I have to say that I am happy with the single pound loss per week. While, I would like to get to the 200 lb loss mark and / or a weight of 200 (16 or 23 pounds to go), I would not be disappointed if this was my "set point."

Happy Day to all you Mothers!

Also today i went to watch a friend play baseball in a 28+ mens league & they were short a player and asked me to play. I laughed and said i havent played in 20 yrs, they said better then a forfeit!!! So i went out there, Boy did it feel great to be on the field again. When i saw that first pitch come in i was like wow its been a long time lol...the i struck out. next at bat i also struck out cause i forgot what a curve ball looked like but i did foul one off. then my 3rd at bat we had a guy on 1st & 2nd with no outs so i bunted and got my first single. i was laughing so hard that i stopped running & they kept saying keep running. The only thing that bothers me is the flapping skin, when i run it sounds like someone clapping in the stands so i am going to look for some under armour this week.

sorry it was so long guys but i was excited about doing one of the things that i love so much i had to tell ya, have a great day.

Happy Mothers Day to All MOMS!!!!!!!!
