OK Guys, Let's talk about thinning hair & the VSG
I'm nearly 3 months post-op (the 10th) and today I noticed that my hair is quite a bit thinner on top and my hair is just coming out at an alarming rate when I wipe my head with a towel! I know they said we would see "some hair loss" during the pre-op classes but I'm getting a little freaked out now!

It's temporary!!!
I started noticing about two months. I wasn't sure if it was due to the surgery. or if it was just time that my hair started to fall out naturally.
I noticed my hair fuller again at 6 months.
I tired all kinds of stuff biotin, more protein, hair rejuvenating products. but I think it was time that really was the right product.

Well...
I had nice long hair before. I tried for the rockstar look. I don't know how successful I was, but I had enough to keep it in a ponytail. Six months later it was coming out in handfuls and it got thin, so I cut it all off. Sad? Yes. But it is a great consolation that I also lost 167 lbs in that same six months and am now almost normal weight. It was worth it!
