Couple of nasty ass FARTS for me this week.
1. We hosted an in-service training class this past Friday. Prior to that the building we were using had to be set up. Due to cir****tances beyond my control. I pretty much got to set it up by myself! Wearing a vest even. Was sweating like a woman of ill repute in a house of worship but got it done.
2. Here comes the nastier of the two. Took brother his mail from the P.O. yesterday. Ask me if I can climb. I said climb what. He said his radio tower, he's a ham operator, onto the roof to twist his regular TV antenna back towards the Metroplex so he can watch TV again. After checking to make sure it was secure I started up. As I was going up I was commenting to him that if he would go get WLS in some form he could have done this himself. As I got on the roof I smiled big and said "You think I could have done that three years ago?" He even agreed I would not have been able to.
Ah, it's the little things.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Even throughout the two weeks of vacation I was able to lose 8 pounds in April, not too bad.
Don, I'm not sure I could have climbed that tower. Not because of physical reasons just from the fear of heights. I have been on my roof cleaning gutters recently which is something I would not have done 6 - 7 months ago however.
Yesterday I worked in my yard all day. Cutting down bushes, mowing lawn, trimming trees, etc. Then cleaned my "Mustang" garage before I went for a nice drive last night with the top down.
Life is good.

Little nervous about it myself actually. I was wearing old slick bottomed Reeboks and it was rainy yesterday. Slick 1/4 steel rods were of concern too! Not too keen on a trip to ER for being a good brother.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Well, this has been a week of mental ups and downs. I started off the beginning of the week with some mental blahs after seeing some pics that I was way overly critical of even though I was wearing smaller, better fitting clothes than I had in years and had more energy than I have had in years. I realized its all part of the journey and I need to have my mind catch up with my rapid weight loss and keep the big picture of freedom and a new lease on life in mind. With support from folks on the forum and group this has helped me to end the week on a super high and feeling once again like a million dollars!!
Had my biggest weight loss in two months this past week. I have increased my food intake and started introducing real food again. I also averaged more calories than I had over the past three months. Crazy when you watch some of the weight loss shows and folks start to take in more calories to equal their activity levels they in fact lose more weight. Go figure and I'm not going to try and over analyze it but am happy to see the big number this week. I'm going to do the same things this upcoming week that I did last week and see what happens!!
I coached four softball games this week with two games yesterday and opening day ceremonies. Then after a quick nap took the family to see Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey CIrcus. It is truly the greatest show on earth. My six year old turned to me about 3/4 of the way through the show and asked me if "this was a dream?" It was tremendous and I highly recommend it. The show was at the Dunk Center in Providence with its narrow hard plastic seats and although they weren't super roomy, I fit and was able to sit through the entire show without the feeling that my hips were going to be permanently damaged from the hard plastic digging into them!! Good F.A.R.T. for me!! I also got into work early a few days this week and did 30 minutes on the elliptical each day to add to my exercise!
Well, its a beautiful sunny day here in New England today and I am going to go out and see if I can work on getting my pool ready for the season. Why not open it up early and get in it if I can? I'm sure my girls will venture into it!!
Hope you all have a great week!

This week I scheduled my one year surgeon follow up for May 18. I haven't seen the surgeon for 6 months now, which indicates I haven't been having any surgery-related issues. That's always a good thing.
In some ways it's difficult to believe it's already been a year since surgery, although in other ways, I amazed at what I've been though in that year. It's been a rocky ride at points, but overall so worth it.
And Don, if that had been my brother I'm afraid he'd have to get a satellite dish since there is no frigging way I'd climb that thing.
