Hey Guys hope everyone is doing well.today was the 1st issue i have had since surgery and it was all my fault.

I got up at 8:30 & was running late to go watch my niece's volleyball tournament. so i got up and me & my daughter took right off. She played at 9 then had 2 more games @ 10:30 & 11...Well around 10:45 i started to get dizzy a little so i went over and stood against the wall. while i was standing there i felt very naucius and started to get more dizzy, so i went over and asked for my daughter to meet me out in the hall. As we went into the hallway i went to reach for a chair to sit down and DOWN i went i paaed out hit the wall and slid down onto the floor. I remember hitting the wall then all i remember is looking up at my daughter and hearing her yell for her aunt....I was all disfuntional but i remembered right away that i hadn't eaten anything all day so they gave me a Granola bar and i took my sweatshirt off and started to feel better instantly. the medics came and took my BP,Pulse & Blood Sugar and everything was normal. Then once i started to feel better i went in and watched the rest of the games until my wife showed up to bring us home. I will tell you i was scared ****less especially after seeing my daughters face and hearing her crying. I will never not eat again and i hope thats all it was, i am going to call my dr tomorrow to let them know what happened....LESSONED LEARNED!!!!!

Be careful guy.  When I was young and on this super strict diet, I worked out at the gym and took some steam. I stood  up and blacked out. I was ok.. but learned not to overdo it.

Take care.

Wow this happened to me today as well, also my first time passing out. Similar scenario, was busy today, didn't eat much at all, then went and worked out, took a long hot shower, got out, was walking through my living room, got dizzy. Next thing I know I can smell carpet, eyes opened and I realized I was on my floor.

A real eye opener for sure.

Glad you're okay.  I know exactly how freaked out you must have been.
Regards,
Chris

During the rapid weighloss I almost passed out at work...Had to leave early.  I now keep different things in my pockets; dry roasted peanuts, roasted soy nuts, almonds, and walnuts, beef jerkey, raisins, banana chips.  I don't go hog wild with these...but if it feels like my blood sugar is getting low (no energy), I'll throw something into my mouth.  I also try to drink a little orange juice througout the day (vitamin C and potassium)...A 1/2 oz at a time (watch for dumping).  I've said it before...Dehyration is the # 1 reason for reentry into the hospital post WLS...

Do be careful out there boys!  Remember, with our "new" altered anatomy, you HAVE to EAT.  Eat what is good and healthy, and you only eat a little, but EAT or as my Italian m-i-l says, "Manga, manga!"...and make sure you are getting your water in.

Eating junk food and CRAP is not a reward...it's a punishment...
it's a DEATH sentence...Reward yourself with Good Health!

Something similar happened to me 3-4 weeks ago. But, in my case, I HAD eaten my ususal breakfast. Scared the hell out of me.

Glad things worked out for you. But, the moment I'm not feeling well, I climbing into the closest chair until I start feeling better.

Jeff Sorry to hear this happened.  In post op life it isn't that we ignore our bodies we simply don't hear them until it is to late.  This was your bodies way of reminding you that you forgot it, as much as it sucks.

I would suggest you get a small lunch bag style cooler and keep it in your car, stocked with snacks.  I have learned this lesson from multiple bad experiences.  Cheese Sticks, Small baggies of nuts, drinks and a protein bar can always be found in my bag.

You are doing amazing keep up the great work.
