NSV & SV = GOLF W/THE GUYS - SIX UNDER

Okay, the golf outing to Myrtle Beach was worrisome – would I, could I, make this annual outing w/my buds at 4 mos. Post-op w/out problems?  I worried about me and my self-control.  Eating out at big restaurants; the post-match celebrations; paying attention to my “program."  How would it go?

Well, golf-wise, I played much better this year now that I am moobless:  I even birdied the last hole on the last day for a nice “win" in the betting pool.  And overall, there were absolutely no problems. Naturally, there was the good-natured kidding – but my golf pals are one of my strongest support-groups, and along the way, each of them individually told me how proud they were of what I was doing.  A shared victory.

This a.m. I had another major victory – got on the scale and found the 5-day golf trip resulted in a 6 lb. weight loss.  Now to change that damned ticker, again.

Did I mention that I birdied the last hole……?       Pop-Pop

When I read your comment that you had "to change that damned ticker again" at first I thought you were referring to something about your heart.  But, after looking at your profile, I came to believe that you are talking about the weight ticker tracking graph you post on your respose.  Lowering your current weight by 6 lbs or more on the graphic probably feels good.

As someone who is only 60, it is an inspiration to see that someone a bit older than me is now on the WLS journey.  I didn't get my RNY until I was 50 and I thought that was old.  I'm glad that you are able to be somewhat active with your friends.

Great to hear about your golf trip.  I am jealous.   Up here in the Northeast we had another snowstorm last Thursday but the weather quickly turned to springlike upper 50's over the weekend.  Can't wait to get on the links.  Congrats on the Birdy and on the 6 lb weight loss to boot.  Great stuff!!
