Keeping Food Warm While Mindful Eating
I'm right with you about leftovers. I have such a hard time eating them the first time that the thought of trying to tackle it again the next day makes me nauseus!! My wife and I are right there with you on the big eating out budget going way down. Since my surgery we probably have gone out 4 times. Before surgery we were eating out or getting take out on average 4 times per week. That is a huge savings. The restaurants may go out of business now but oh well its better for my wife and I and as you said makes a great vacation fund!!

It may be time to look into Wendy's Chili (with cheese). Just a spoonful at a time. Try it at home...Beef can be hard to digest the first few months. Below is a copy and paste I wrote a few weeks back about the stuff.
Here are my thoughts...4+ years out. Wendy's Chili is great for those who don't cook. Fast, on the go people love it. The major issue is meat post op RNY. You will find out that you have to test everything with the pouch. You wait a few minutes...get approval from the pouch to proceed. THE POUCH RULES!! Make no mistake about it...You will know what I mean post op. When you test new things...test them at home. Also somethings your pouch rejects early on can be eaten later...A few months down the road. Beef is usually harder to digest than chicken, turkey, or fish (tuna). Therefore you should wait for a little over a month to try chili with meat. Pork is even tougher to digest. For me post op it never really sits well in the pouch. I will eat it, but again...never sits well. You may want to try some lean steak post op a month out at home...chewed well (very small amount)...to puree texture...If it sits ok, then look at Wendy's Chili. Brian
