Finally - below 300!
So today I got on the scale, and I finally broke through the 300-lb barrier. So that sound you heard this morning, that you thought was a train whistle - that was me! I weigh 299 as of this morning, after 2 weeks of not having lost a pound.
Its a double celebration, because yesterday I took my first active step toward getting back into flying. I took an hour of training with a flight instructor, and managed to not kill either of us! I guess I didn't scare him too badly, because he agreed to fly with me again later this week.
It was so much fun! I actually fit in the seat, and the seatbelt was not all the way extended, and we were within the maximum weight limits of the airplane. Being able to fly again was one of my biggest motivators towards WLS, and I am SKY HIGH with happiness and joy.
Life is wonderful, and I'm so grateful that I was able to have the RNY procedure. Not only have all of my co-morbidities been resolved, but I'm slowly getting my LIFE back. Thank you Dr. Nicholson, and thank you, Lord! Thanks also to all of you guys, who have been my support group, my inspiration, my conscience, and my guides through this wilderness. What a ride! Whee!

Okay, now I'm jealous.... Seriously Jim, weigh to go down, dude. I hope to crack 300 before the end of April, but right now I'm working on hitting the 100 lbs. lost mark - a few more to go. We all know how hard it is, so the pay-off is well-deserved. Good for you and those who love you. Thank you for being an inpiration to me.
