You'd better start backing off or quitting all together.  Ask your doctor but I don't think tobacco use in ANY form is good for an early post op.  Smoking constricts your veins slowing the healing process and I don't think the "particles" of snuff or chew would be good on a modified gizzard.  Run the risk of giving yourself an ulcer.

I am starting backing off and working towards quitting.

No offense taken.  I've been a cop for over 15 years and working code enforcement now so being called a "mother", as in MF'er, is nothing new to me.  I Know you were making reference to the maternal nagging so again no offense taken and we're good.

 I am a Kodiak man, I have been able to quit just about everything terrible except for dip. It is the hardest thing for me to kick. I am close but cant seem to drop the first one of the day. 

I was a Copenhagen Snuff man myself..... I worked fire for a while and got my start there..... I figured that since im spending all this money on being healthy, I may as well cut out the chew. I miss it though
