Every office has a different plan.  My DR moves us back to purred and soft sooner than most,  I liked the vanilla PP from Walmart with skim milk.   Didn't mind ISOPURE pre op, but after surgery it makes me gag.  It's funny how much your tastes change.

I'm a fan of Pro Performance 100% whey from GNC. I make them quirk milk. Like others said your tastes will change. Isopure was ok once in a while but makes your mouth slimy.

Others tried and didn't like it, but I mixed Isopure Ready-to-drink 50/50 with diet juice (Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Grape and Diet V8 Splash Tropical) and found it cut the aftertaste pretty dramatically.  As someone else pointed out, it also spread the protein intake over a longer period of time.  I just kept it mixed in the fridge, and refilled my small glass regularly.  Kept me moving (getting up and down to get more to drink) and kept me sipping so I stayed hydrated.

At four months out, I don't have any problem getting my protein in without any protein drinks - but I guess I'm lucky because I have no problem with eating any meats, egg, or cheese - pretty much everything goes down smooth!
