Anyone got a list of ideas of what to drink during each stage of the post op diet - liquids, softees, mushies etc???

Also different forms of liquid protien, like shakes and what else? Do they make liquid protien like juice?

Any ideas would help. I start my pre op diet april 1.

Don't go ape sh++ crazy on buying a bunch of protein powders etc at this point.  Your taste will change drastically after surgery.  What will taste good before will taste nasty post op.  Get some samples from your doc, at support groups etc to try before you make the investment.  Liquid protein, aka: Protein "shots", are best mixed with water and sipped on.  When I tried them straight I was in the loo letting loose.

Your doc's office should have a list of what is edible and what is not.

I wholly agree with Don. Your tastes will radically change. Things that were impossible to pass up might well be totally undesirable after surgery. I've found this absolutely amazing, although somewhat of a relief since many of the poor-choice foods that I loved are no longer a temptation. In fact, honestly, although some food tastes "good" now; I don't have many things that actually "excite" me. And, those that do, such as fruits and frozen yogurt, are things that I was not terribly fond of before.

Best idea is to buy small quantities of anything you buy and not to buy much at all until after your surgery.

Sounds yummy!

Not looking to stock up, just looking for the names of stuff and where I can buy this stuff locally.

Vitamin Shoppe usually has good prices and you don't have the pressure of the Dude-Bro's at GNC.
But online may be your best bet.

Those IsoPure low carb juices are VERY high in protein 40g. I mix a pitcher of 3 bottles of these, fill the rest with water and ad a packet of Crystal Light. Its damn good. It also cuts the protein intake down a little for on serving. Your body can only process so much protein at once.
ill have 2 glasses of these a day... along with a Protein shake...I use vanilla soy milk and ad a banana and a drop of vanilla extract...Good stuff.

All these along with the foods im eating I get my needed protein and they taste great
