Sunday Roll Call

506.5:  All time high 9/9/9
492.4:  Tufts Program Start 9/20/10
457.0:  Surgery day 2/7/11
420.2:  Last Week 3/6/11
417.2:  This Week 3/13/11 - 3.0 lbs lost this week

75.2 lbs lost since starting the Tufts program.
89.3 lbs lost from my all time highest weight.

Another 3 pounds lost this week.  Not as much as I was expecting but had a stall for 4 days which caused my wife to threaten to hide my scale.  I am now doing once a week weigh ins (Sundays only).  I wanted to increase my activity last week but with it being my first week back to work I never got to it.  I am looking to go to the gym more this week and get back on the treadmill and encumbant bike.  That should help to boost my weight loss.  Looking for a bigger number next week.

My diet has been going well.  Even went with the family to Boston Market last night and had 1/4 white meat chicken and mashed potatoes.  It was heavenly although I left more than I ate on my plate!  I have been struggling to get in all my fluids.  I'm not sure if that contributed to my stall this past week but will work more on that.

Had an NSV this week with clothes.  I brought my daughter to her Father/Daughter dance and couldn't find a pair of pants that didn't look baggy and went into my 5X stash (I was a 7X at surgery) and slipped my 5X jeans on without a problem.  Woo Hoo!!  Time to get rid of the 7X (and maybe 6X) clothes from my drawers and closets.  Probably try to work on that a bit today.  I can definitely feel the weight coming off in places I don't think I have in other diets and although the scale isn't moving as fast as I'd like the inches definitely are!

Well, good luck to all next week and hope that you had a good last week!

Been a week of up and down weight, although it was all around 2 lbs that I have been giving and taking all week. A beautiful week weather-wise. I am going to look at bikes today. I'd like to enjoy the weather while it's not too hot. (Would I have said that a year ago? Don't think so!)

In the interest of full disclosure, I think it's important to say that I looked at bikes at the local sporting goods store and saw a decent bike that I proceded to to down the aisle. I was a little shaky, but hell I haven't ridden in 20 years. Then went to get off of the bike, lifted my leg over the bike and somehow managed to get my pants leg caught somewhere and ended up falling on my ass right in the bicycle aisle of the store. As I flailed to stop myself, I knocked over several of the helmets on the shelf behind me. Yup, nice start. My hip is bruised, my elbow is sore and I think I pulled a muscle in my back. And no, I didn't buy the bike.

However, on the fun side, I also tried on spandex biking shorts in the same store. Not sure which scared me away from the bike - the fall or seeing myself in spandex.
