Ok so I had my daughter take some pics of me and yeah I knew I was hairy but good god my back looks like I'm carrying a dead animal back there. So after wls and I shed a bunch of weight, basic math tells me that less space same number of hair folicles and now closer together, my rug will be even thicker. Right? What has been your experience????

I'm a hairy fella too.  And I don't like it, or the stubble that would result from buzzing it off.

So, come summer (when I'll spend quite a bit of time at the pool with the little ones) I get it all waxed off.  Hurts like hell, but only for an hour or so.  A bit of a vanity thing, and a bit of a shame thing (never wanted to be the fat and HAIRY guy.)

I don't think you'll have to worry about looking more like a bear wiith less infield for the same hairs to grow on.  It'll be bear-like either way!

I have my wife hit my back with the electric trimmer.  If it is cut to about 1/4 inch it is almost invisible and not too short to itch.  You will probably have the same amount of realestate, it will just hang there like loose skin.  LOL

Yeah, that will make a guy feel better ... "still have the same amount of real estate only hanging" .... not only hairy, but hanging excess skin and hairy. Maybe you should think twice about the surgery, Jack. (LOL)
