 Hey All,

I find sometimes when I  get up too quickly that I am dizzy. I know anyone can feel that way, but was wondering if that was assin of any lacking in a vitamin or mineral?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

It is generally a low blood pressure issue.  When you get up quickly the blood needs a little while to catch up.

Yep - I have the same thing.  I'm going to my PCP soon to see if he'll let me quit the BP medicine.  I think that I'm actually experiencing low BP, especially in the mornings...

Talked to my PCP about this recently and he said that my body was finding a new equilibrium after losing weight so quickly and that it should stabilize.  He took my blood pressure sitting and then right after standing up.  There was a marked difference.

Not on any BP meds so just need to wait it out as my body adjusts I suppose.  He suggested I try to sit first before bending down.  Not always practical.

Yep, I agree with the previous posters... but mine had a twist.

My blood pressure was so low that it caused me to blackout. Come to find out  I had a bleeding ulcer.

So have it checked out just to be safe.

I have the same problem.. Especically if I've been laying on the couch and get up.. Sometimes I have to grab onto a chair or something for fear of blacking out.. I've never had blood pressure problems.. so it's kind of a weird feeling..
I'm perfectly fine in a couple steps.. Thought it might be dehydration (I never drink enough fluids) but wife (nurse) says I'd have to be severely dehydrated to experience that affect.
I'm seeing my family doctor and will ask him about it..
