Hey guys today i hit 357 lbs which means that i have lost 100 lbs since surgery & 163 since the program started. I told myself when i had surgery that i wanted to try and reach -100 before my 4 month date & i was unsure if that was going to happen. when i woke up this morning i didnt think today was going to be the day but when i stepped on that scale my eyes must have been the size of basketballs,WOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!Today is my 16th week but the 10th is my 4 month date. What do you guys go by, weeks or by the date of your surgery?????

Highest weight-544/Started WLS program -520/Surgery weight - 457/ =Goal weight - 287

I've used both.  Early on weeks work better.  I think I hit the hundred pound mark at 3.5 months.  Nice FART by the way!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

I used weeks for about the first 3 months, then went to months based on my surgiversary date.

You are doing great!  Keep up the great progress!  Mike

Excellent news, Jeff.  Keep it up! And, for the record, I keep up with both weeks and months, but when talking to someone I usually refer to the number of months since it sounds less like I am closely watching my weight every day (which I am, but I don't need the whole world to know how anal I am about tracking my weight at this point).

Jeff, what an amazing accomplishment in less than 4 months!! Congrats.

I started tracking the time in weeks. But, after 8-10 weeks it just made more sense to switch to months.

High Weight = 310     Surgery Weight = 300   Dr's Goal = 200   My Goal = 190

You're doing GREAT!!  Instead of a spiral downward...eating junk...gaining more weight...moving less, you spiral upward.  You've lost weight, so you can move better...so you can exercise more...which causes you to lose more weight...so you move even better...which causes you to lose weight.  It just goes on and on.  If you stick to the program you will reach goal very quickly.  Even if you have a few stalls here and there the weight still comes off.  Clothing you buy today will be falling off of you in a few weeks.  If you buy new clothes don't go hog wild...You drop sizes real quick.  Also buy really tight clothes so they'll fit normal in a week or two...esp the big and tall stuff.  We all know how pricey that stuff can get...

Congrats Jim!!

That's an incredible accomplishment. I go by months. So, I'm at 3 and a half (just behind you). But I'm no where near a full 100 pounds! WOW!!

Keep it up.

You give us all inspiration to work hard, hard, harder....  I'm still using weeks, but will shift to months soon.  Can't wait to join you at the century mark.  I'm 65, so maybe it will take a little longer - you know, old, feeble, geezers like me don't have the enerygy level of you youngn's...  Way to Go!
