Looks like I have an incisional hernia... and just think, things have be going so well for me.

I had an open RnY in August and about a month ago I felt a bulge appearing when I lay down. I see my RnY surgical family of medical providers next week.

Maybe, just maybe they used the thread for female RnYers will smaller abdominable muscles, but I doubt it. Just what I need another surgery to fix the surgery :-)

Onward and upward MEN!

I have had mine for about 5 years and other than some mild irritation, it's fine. I am going to fix it when I get some plastics which should be in the next 8 or 9 years.

I had an umbilical hernia from a lap chole (Gal bladder) surgery about 15 years ago.  My surgeon repaired it when he did my RNY and I've done great.  Now I have no problems lifting weights, exercising, or running.

Do talk to your medical team and see what they recommend.

Good Luck!
