It's "downhill" from here...
So this morning when I stepped on the scale, it read 306. I got off, back on, and it still read 306. Checked the calibration - OK. So I guess it's "official" - I'm over halfway to my goal weight! Strange how you can not see the scale move for an entire week (during which you're eating right, working out every day, etc.) and then have it drop 4 pounds in two days. What a roller coaster.
So, getting past the halfway point (in <4 months) feels pretty good, but somehow not as satisfying as some of the non-weight-loss accomplishments. I was more "stoked" by the fact that I broke into the "top 5" in the "fit points" competition at my gym. (You get points for exercises logged at the gym and on the Fit Linxx website. The gym uses their system.) Anyway, I came in at number 4. Probably would have been #5, but the guy who is always way at the top of the list (with something like 3X the points of the next-closest person) was strangely absent from the list. Who cares - I'm declaring it a WIN...
Now, when I drop below 300 lbs, you guys should be able to hear the shouting all the way to the two coasts! That is a "biggie" to me. Another week (or two) and I should be shouting from the rooftops!
