Why do men have WLS
"For what it is worth most men approach these types decisions with quite a different mindset. I think you will find very few men on this board that had or is going to have their procedure to simply get skinny or look good. If you read carefully most men are here doing this to improve their life and enjoy things they never had before."
Do you agree with this or not?
I have to say that I think most people (women included) have WLS to improve their health, but that at the same time both men and women have an equal desire to look thin at the end. I don't think it's only for health or only for looks that people undergo WLS but it's a combination of both.
My first thought was having it done to get a better job thinking that being fat was keeping me from getting promoted or hired. Little did I know what I was going to be in for. Not enough research on my part. Held to my choice in surgeon since he was recommended by my cardiologist. Nearly three years out, maintaining a 160 pound loss, wearing size 34 uniform pants and medium shirts BUT- It has been one hell of a fu**ing ride! Yes, I'm healthier, and smaller, than I was. Yes, I'm back to work but have gone through a divorce, moving away from then moving back to TX. At least a 100 job rejections and all the wear and tear that job hunting will put on a person in the last three years. Now that a lot of things have settled out for me life is looking better.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
