Size of my...um...french bougie!

My operative report says that I had a 36 french blunt tip bougie for my VSG.  Does anyone know what size this is?  Dimensions?  Is it average?

Size isn't everything I know...just askin!!

French is a medical measurement for diameter.  30 french is about 10 mm or 1 cm.  I bet that this has something to do with the sizing of the VSG or valve leaving the sleeve.
