four months out - in with the old!

So I decided to wrap up my fourth month out from my RNY by putting an end to just lurking - go me, 2 posts and counting now - and also by purging my closet. Out with the 4xl/20" neck shirts, 56" waist pants and in with the 2xl tops and 40" waist pants (strangely, my inseam is the same even though I've taken to wearing my pants on my waist rather than at my hips - i guess the rear view of my ass just got a lot less baggy) .

It's been an exciting ride so far and the reward of better health, smaller sizes and comments from people who have noticed are great but what was super cool is that some of the "wishful thinking" clothes in my collection - never worn concert shirts from years gone by and clothing gifts from well-intentioned friends/family are starting to fit!

Sadly, not every band I have a shirt for has stood the test of time (Jesus Jones circa 1991 anyone?) but they're so old now, they're effectively retro...Also sadly, I sold the bulk of my concert t collection a few years back (i used to have over 100) but I kept some of the primo ones.

Any of you guys have a stash of older clothes you've kept holding on to for "one day"? Anything you've got in your sights? I have a Ben Sherman shirt covered in a Vespa silhouettes that I think I can pull off when I hit goal.

Cheers,
Steve

Welcome to the mens forum. Congrats on the awesome work so far.  Pretty soon you will be looking for GQ style clothes to show your wares off to the wimmen folk.

Thanks guys! I didn't discover this board/site until a month after my surgery but it's been a great source of inspiration and info...took me some time to realize that the more of us posting on our journey and spreading the word, the better for all of the others lurking out there.
