I'm having lingering effects from sleep deprivation.
I usually type fairly quickly with few spelling or grammatical errors. I've been frustrated when I go to post on OH. I' m wondering who is using my thoughts and then posting with strangely worded posts, Even I can barely understand what I am saying. I think that I am getting better slowly.
So, I'll only make brief posts until My mind clears up. I get drowsy quickly while online or while watching TV. So, I stop those activities and try to rest my eyes ( I close them and sometimes even fall asleep.
Yes, I know that this May be a serious problem. But both my wife and my shrink though I was reacting like a hypochondriac. I'm supposed to see
my primary doc on01-17, but I'll call his office around the 10th to see if he wants me to go for any blood work or other tests before I see him. This is just so dam frustrating.

Bob,
There is NO RULE that you cannot wear your C-PAP while typing.
Hang in there, I have been using a C-PAP for about 5 years and it isn't very romantic and it isn't too handy when camping but I sure feel a hell-of-a-lot better when I use it.
Also, you posted that you don't use it when you have a cold. Try sleeping in a recliner or overstuffed chair with your C-PAP instead of laying down. It works much better.

Thanks, but I only sleep reclining. I can not sleep laying down. I sometimes wonder why the C-PAP is pr cribed for sleep at night when I often sleep for the same duration during my naps. So, I started using the C-Pap while napping. Regarding my problems with sniffles, the shrink said to go ahead and blow my nose and put the mask back on.
He seemed to have fun "calling" me on my so-called symptons of imagined illnesses. My wife verified that I usually think I have whatever the worst illness is that's being mentioned. The Doc asked if I look them up on WebMD and I said "no" they are being thrown in my face in TV ads.
Now that it is a few days past seeing him, I'm a bit annoyed that absolutely no medical tests were taken or ordered. Heck, neither he nor my wife even took my temp. I'm not saying that I am sick--who knows?-- but he's a shrink which means he is a MD. He did his personal observation and he read a detailed letter that I had written to my most trusted inner circle of friends. I can understand how he can tell from his expertise whether I am manic, but I don't see how reading that letter can otherwise explain my sleeplessness.
I saw him on Wed and have had a lot of sleep,i.e., I've been asleep more than I've been awake. And, I'm still having the problem with typing. There is definitely some sort of disconnect going on that disturbs me. No matter how slowly that I try to type, I still have the problem.. It's as if you were driving a manual trans and couldn't go from neutral to first . You know where first gear is located but you keep shifting from neutral into third. I hope that's a good example of how frustrated I am.
So, I'll call my primary doc's office on Mon and see if they want me to have any tests--probably just blood drawn-- before I see him on Mon 01-17.
Ps I still think logically, and I usually review my post 2-3 times before I submit it. I only had to re-write that sentece 5 times. I think part of my problem is in thinking that my index fingers are in the proper location for touch typing and then finding that I am off-center on the keyboard. Bob
