- Really enjoyed my self this Christmas. I grazed like a cow and drank like a fish. To the point wear I went above my goal. I take total responsibility as I knew the consequences of my actions. Well...Today's a new day and I'm starting it off right. No more carbs as they get me into trouble. I already hit the Gym this morning followed by my Smoothie King Gladiator protein shake. It took me less than a week to put on 7 pounds. Between the gym and the snow shoveling I'm about to do (looks like it's going to be a bad storm)...We'll see how long it will take me to loose it.

Back from Christmas at my daughter's house. Great time with the family, and my preggo daughter was really cute. She's been wanting a VitaMix blender for a looong time, and we got them one for Christmas. She was so excited! It was like seeing a kid get their first bike or something! She couldn't wait to use it, so we had black bean soup, hummus, and several other things from the "blender" recipes.
Not a terrible week, food wise, but not exactly a great week, either. At least I held onto what I lost in the 1st half of the week. (The 2 lb loss was right before we left.) My daughter is vegan, so absolutely no meat, cheese, or dairy in the house. We took some stuff with us, but I felt bad eating stuff in front of her, so I went out for breakfast a couple of times (walked 1 mile to the local Whataburger) to get my egg/cheese/sausage fix. Unfortunately, it came on a biscuit...
Fundamental issue (and I should KNOW this by now!) was waiting too long between meals, so I was really hungry when meal time came. And then, when they would start preparing food, it took forever, but I foolishly convinced myself to wait and eat with everyone else... No pouch problems, but total calories were a higher than my "normal" days, and I definitely ate more carbs and fat than usual.
I did, however, keep up my walking and C25K program, so I'm proud of that. I even got some of the family to join me once, when I walked in the evening.
