Day two of C25K, and hit a milestone
Did the second day of the C25K program this morning. Still takes me the full "recovery time" to get my wind back, but I managed to get 8 one minute jogging segments in this morning. The dogs think I'm crazy. First you run, then you walk, then you run again... Can't you make up your mind?
So then I got home and cooled off for a while, and when I weighed myself, I've finally dropped those 2 pounds that have been hanging on for dear life. That's right, sports fans, I've "officially" lost 75 pounds as of this morning - 7 weeks since my RNY surgery, and 10 weeks since I started the pre-surgery diet.
And we're leaving this morning to go to my daughter's house for Christmas. She can't travel because she's 9 months pregnant, and due to have our first grandchild (a girl) on Jan 2nd. I'm so happy and excited about life in general, but especially about feeling good enough to "do stuff" again! I'm even planning to tile the bathrooms in our house when we get back - and I cannot believe I'm able to do it! It will be tough, but it will be great to get it done. (We've only been living in this house for 2 1/2 years!)
Anyway, I wanted to thank all of you guys for your help, encouragement, and inspiration here, and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Hope you have as good of a time as I'm planning to have!
