Back home today
Had surgery on wednesday around 230 was up and walking around 8pm. The next day I felt good not too much pain but friday i felt like i was run over by a truck. Today I feel just fine and was released to come home this morning. Feels so nice to be back home now and to be in a comfortable recliner for the next few days.
Don - CONGRATULATIONS - so glad all went well and you are home. Enjoy your next few weeks of recovery. Get up out of that recliner and walk a little more each time. Sip your water and protein drink, and if your hurt'n, take the pain meds. Welcome to the Loser's Bench! Enjoy this wild ride on the road to health! Mike

Glad you're back home and doing well.
Never did feel like I'd been run over by a truck. It was more like a horse had kicked me in the chest. But, that only lasted about a week.
I echo the suggestion to sip often and start your walks. When I got home I started out going around the block at least twice a day and then increased a little bit each daty.
I'd also suggest you get a device that hangs on your belt and counts the steps per day. Helps you track your progress. My goal is 10,000 steps per day. Still working on it but I'll eventually get there.
