When I started this journey and first met with my surgeon, he asked what was my goal.  I replied, I would like to be under 200 lbs.  We agreed that 195 would be a good, reasonable goal.

While I fell below 200 lbs a few weeks back, I've been hanging between 197 - 199.

This morning, after my workout, I got on the scale...drum roll please... 1 9 4 . 5  ! ! !

Woo Hoo !!!!!!!!
Eating junk food and CRAP is not a reward...it's a punishment...

Highest Weight: 287 Lbs-January 2010; Reached Goal 195 Lbs - Dec 2010 
Total Lost: 92 Lbs;  Completed FULL MARATHON (26.2 Miles) 10-16-2011

  Anyone *****aches goal should be applauded
It takes work...Hard work to reach your goal...You can't just sit back and watch it happen (well yes you can for a few month...then the real work begins).
  Good job on the exercise and pushing the envelope.  Enjoy the ride...

That's great progress.

Do you plan to stabilize at 195 lbs or do you think a second goal is warranted?

 Mike, that's fantastic!  I know you've worked really hard at it, and no one deserves it more than you.  Way to go!  

So what's next on your list?  Did I read that you have a marathon in your future?  (I can't even imagine that for myself - yet...)

 THANKS Everyone!  Yea, I am felling pretty flipping great!

My "plan" is to try to stabilize here at 195.  I promised my wife I would not get too thin.  Imagine that!  Working to NOT be too thin!  Whoda Thunk IT!

My goal for 2011 is to 1) Run a 25K in May - The Grand Rapids River Bank Run on Saturday May 14, 2011; followed by 2) the Metro Health Grand Rapids Marathon in October.  I've started a training program and am doing 3-4 miles Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a "long" run on Saturdays.  Last Saturday I did 6.8 miles in 1:12:19.  I am loving it!  The real crazy part is here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, it is getting COLD!  But again, I am loving running in the cold in the mornings.  As part of the training program, I will be increasing my miles.

Once again, first I thank GOD for the ability to have the surgery and the success I've had.  I also thank my very supportive and encouraging wife.  I am also very appreciative of Dr Kemmeter of Grand Health Partners and the entire team at St. Mary's Surgical Weight Loss.  

Last, but definitely not least (no pun intended) I sincerely appreciate the support and encouragement I've received from this forum and the Exercise and Fitness forum.  As I've stated in other posts, I consider this site my support group, and an excellent one at that!

Wow, that has to be a wonderful feeling to reach that goal.  Its a good feeling to read these types of stories, it helps me keep my eyes on the prize of being a complete healthy person.....
