My program for food wants me to have 1/2 cup egg beaters. do they really think i can get in that much & the other thing is by the time i get done chewing the eggs are cold, it's insane. I am really getting frustrated trying to get in breakfast or even 2 oz of tuna, chicken or turkey. Am i the only one that has this problem?

Remember the program is just a guideline. Because all of us are different, you may not be able to get in all the solid food they suggest. That's okay for now, it will come.

Personally, I can do two eggs with cheese for breakfast (about 15g protein), and am very full...No chance I could chase that with two ounces of anything.

Good luck.

Would hard boiled eggs help?...Add a little fat free mayo, salt and pepper.  The other thing that I would do is put 1-2oz of yogurt, cottage cheese, or protein shake on the nightstand.  Since I am sip sip sipping away...and have to pee in the middle of the night.  I'll have whatever is on the nightstand...maybe just a oz...but that helped.  It's at time when you don't think about getting in your protein.  Brian

Jeff, I think I've already mentioned this, but I find that if I mix Isopure (ready to drink) with sugar-free diet juices, I can almost enjoy it.  The Frost Grape goes really well with Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Grape, and the Icy Orange Isopure goes really well with V8 Splash Diet Tropical flavor.  It helps cut the aftertaste.  That's how I get my protein down.

Your key word here Jim is "almost"...just the thought of Isopure makes me want to hurl!  But, to each his own...find what works for you and go for it.

I mix some unflavored Unjury with my eggs or yogurt.  It adds protein.  I use the small containers of the Activia Light.

The key is don't push at one time.  You don't want to stretch your pouch.  Take in what you can are are comfortable with, then stop.  Try a little more a little later.

Jeff,
you are still very early out, just do what you can and don't pu**** too much.  I am almost 6 months out and I can eat 1 egg w/ cheese and be very full.  I can eat my 3 oz of chicken but not tuna.  Everyone is different, just try and get in what you can.  If you need to add a protein drink to hit your protein goal for the day that is ok.  Make sure you get your fluids in as well.  It is not easy to balance and frustration is normal (well as normal as we can be) You will get this.  If you are going to the gym again today you need to drink the protein drinks so you don't lose muscle instead of fat.  Keep up the great work and remember you are less than 1 month out give your body time to adjust.  :-)

What worked for me to keep my food warm was to buy a little hot plate that was made for keeping a cup of coffee warm. But i put my eggs in a coffee sized cup and it worked perfectly. I was like you and just couldn't handle cold eggs.
Hope that helps a little bit.
