Thanksgiving
For those of you on your first holiday post opp here is a little advice. Hopefully other veterans will add their advice for you too.
Eat the meal with everyone else. Use a small plate and start with the meat. Put a teaspoon of all your favorites on your plate so you get a taste of everything. Do not Finnish all of your food, and stay away from the sweets and deserts. The day will work out better than you anticipate. YOU CAN DO IT !!! Good luck to all.

Great advice Robert! Thank you! However, I am with Jim...and my wife is aiding and abetting by making both a sugar free pumpkin pie and sugar free apple pie. I promise, just a very small sliver of each and I will wait till way after the meal...I promise...besides, I am running a 4 mile tomorrow morning so I'll need the extra carbs...yea...that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Happy Thanksgiving!

Great advice and much appreciate as this is my first holdiay after surgery.
I already know what happens when I try to eat more than Peter Pouch can handle. So, I have no choice but to stick with my small portions. I just hope I can keep the turkey tender enough. Still have problems eating "real" meats (as opposed to pressed or soft meats).
But, I do know I can handle the veggies.
Happy Thanksgiving to all the guys here that are so supportive. I'm really thankful for all you suggestions, help, and support.
