Woohoo again!
Yesterday at work, one of my friends commented that I've lost so much weight my pants (48s) were getting a bit "saggy" - like I didn't know that. But I decided it was time to get some new ones. Hated to waste the money, 'cause I was sure I had only lost maybe one size, and knew the new ones wouldn't fit for long...
So I got to the store and tried on the 46s - they were a bit on the baggy side, as well. So, out of curiosity, I tried the 44s, and THEY FIT! Wowsers! I'm sure for all you "old timers" this is old hat, but it's been 20+ years since I wore a pair of 44s...
Ain't life great?

Jim,
That is great news! Trust me anytime someone gets blown away with sizes it's exciting. It brings those of us who've been there right back with you!!! It is a good feeling isn't it? I've saved one pair of my old pants size 54 in the waist just to bring me back on path when I gain a few pounds, let's call them "motivation". Keep up the good work!!!!

Very cool!! I went way way way back into my closet and pulled out my old college bellbottoms. Can you dig it?? I tried on my old bib overalls too...Looking for that 70's Three Dog Night...Frampton Comes Alive type of look. I end up looking like a backwoods hillbilly. I ended up going for the casual CEO type of look...More fitting with my age and style. Brian PS If you have a Kohls around, they have some pretty good fashion...Since I have none.
Jim,
I don't know how close to a Goodwill Store you are, but I just picked up a pair of Docker's and a pair of blue jeans for 4.00 each. Many of the things in Goodwill are donated by name brand stores and still have the new tags on. I saw a new shirt with tags that would be $75 in the store it can from for $4.00.
Yes you can find large sizes too. The pants are 60. Sounds big and they are, but beats the he-- out of 74..... I'm on the down side and lov'en it.
Hey!!! Who has those 54's I'm going to need them soon.

Jim - that is an awesome FART!!! Congratulations! And yes, this type of news never gets old. We've all known that horrible feeling of going into a store, trying on something, and having to go to the next bigger size or worse being redirected to the "big man's'' section. Now the tables are turned! We get to go to the next smaller size. It is also an awesome feeling when you go to the "Big Man's" section and get thrown out! I used to get the "King Size Direct" catalog. Now I just throw them in the trash! Live is Great! Happy Thanksgiving!
Isn't it an awesome feeling!!
My local support group has a clothing exchange.. When I was first loosing I picked up some clothes and was surprised to learn that I actually looked thinner wearing clothes that fit, rather than my old giant size.. I since started going to the Value Village Thrift shop.. because I was going through sizes faster than I could believe.
I was a little hesitant to shop at these stores at first.. and admittedly there is a lot of crap there, but if you search through the racks, there are some slightly used, or even new clothes there.. I needed a suit to go to a wedding this summer and didn't want to buy one knowing it wouldn't fit for much longer. I found a great fitting suit for $15 bucks.. I've now got it packed up in my bag of big clothes for the next clothing exchange.. It makes great sense to use these stores when you are loosing so fast.
I recently had to get some clothes for the gym.. I was wearing an xxl bathing suit cinched at the waist. It billowed around me in the pool. I was shocked when I tried on a large bathing suit and it fit!. When I first looked at it.. I thought that it looked like something one of my skinny kids would wear..
Shopping for clothes used to be so depressing.. I used to buy a 52 and have to hack off about a foot of material off the legs.. They never did fit right.. Now that I'm a normal size. 38.. pants fit so much better!!
