Climbing the ladder of success!

I did something today I never thought I would do again. I climbed a ladder to the top of the second floor of my home, cleaned gutters and installed gutter guards.

Before my weight loss surgery.. not only would my knees hurt too much to climb.. but I never saw a ladder that had a weight capacity of 500 pounds.  As you can see.. I didn't get to rake the leaves... but I did repair some drywall and replace three electrical sockets in the upstairs bedroom.  And I'm not even tired. I never enjoyed chores around the house so much.
Life is just super!

Herc, I can't even handle one step on a step stool.  As for the leaves, you have to leave some outdoors chores for your wife or she'll get spoiled.  I say this while I really appreciate all that my wife has done for years.  When we could afford it, I had suggested that we get someone to cut the lawn but she thought that was a waste of money.

If you still enjoy chores around the house in the Spring, you may want to take up some gardening.

This is a great FART....My concern wasn't the ladder. It was walking on the roof and thinking that my foot or my whole body would go through due to my weight.

So true!  I remember walking on the roof of my old house, and realizing that the roof was "sagging" where I was walking.  It literally "trembled"...  Needless to say, I didn't stay up there any longer than I absolutely had to!  The next time, I hired my nephew to get up there...  LOL
