Last Sunday evening i ate out of curiosity ONE White Castle Hamburger-this is a little sized burger with onions and pickle on it. Sliders we call em here in Indiana. Also ate some tuna salad. After 10 minutes of finishing i began to get the call for upchucking and took off to the porcelin. When i was done, my pouch was so tender on the left side so that time i went to bed i was doubled over in pain. All this week the pain has subsided but the stomach area is sore. And oh so gassy...yes i know from that! Called my surgeon, and suggested GasX or continue to try to lose the gas myself. Has anyone else had this problem of the stomach/pouch being this sore after throwing up? Bm have been about normal. it is like i am bloated also all the time. when i sleep or sitting still i dont hurt at all. but when i am moving and walking this area is quite sore. I am thinking an ulcer is forming

Could be an ulcer.  Do you have any of your acid reducer meds (Prilosec) left?  You can get them at the pharmacy, over the counter stuff.  Onions both pre and post WLS have always done me in.  I can only have a small amount or my system goes wild.  Brian

I switched about a year ago to Zantac -Dr aproved...and take two every morning. HAve even resorted back to CARAFATE that i was given at surgery and post op. Apparently Onions and me are not going to be good friends anymore-that was what i figured was the culprit.

The combination of grease from the sliders and the onions are KILLERS.   I had a very similar experience, where they did NOT stay down and took about a week to get "back to normal".

Note to self - stay away from greasy onion filled sliders!!!

Hope you feel better soon!
