Congratulations to the two of you. I assume you still have some problems with the legal recognition of your union in different states. There is a need for a change of eligibility language in Federal programs. But, that would probably stir a hornets nest. By the way, I used to work for both Social Security and the Railroad Retirement Board. The only thing we had back then that was anywhere near as controversial was in extablishing common law marriages ( especially in survivor cases).
