Learned a lot and met a lot of interesting people the past few days in Houston. Majority of them female but we did have one break out session that Sean moderated that was "Men only". If you have never been to an OH event - GO! You will be among friends regardless of gender. The food may be lousy but the information is pretty good.
Since I was "in the hood" so to speak took a long ride down memory lane today before heading back home. Have not been to Tomball, my HS stomping grounds, in fifteen years or more. HOLY SUBURBAN SPRAWL, BATMAN!! It is incredible how built up NW Harris and Southern Montgomey Counties have become! Talk about a mind fu**!

I'm still trying to hold at this weight. I finally decided to update my professional attire and add some suits. I've been getting away with shirt and ties.
There's been some great sales. I bought some Sweaters. Haven't worn those in about 10 years.
Jos A Banks had a buy one Suit get another suit for free plus two shirts and two ties.
I actually enjoyed shopping...
So the NSV part is The suit I have hanging up in my closet is a 60 and what I purchased yesterday is a 44.

That's downright amazing - a square bale of hay IS about 50 lbs, isn't it?
I helped my wife haul some large bags of rice (40lbs) and beans (35 lbs) from the truck to our neighborhood food pantry (pre-surgery - don't get excited!). It just about killed me carrying them, one at a time. Now it occurs to me that I've been "carrying" the equivalent of FIVE or SIX of them around 24x7x365! No wonder I was always tired...
Looking at it from that perspective, pre-surgery I "set down" one of those rice bags. I haven't weighed since my surgery (6 days ago) because everyone says "don't do it!", but I know the bloating and swelling has gotten a LOT better.
I can't wait to lose a "square bale of hay"! (Wonder how much a "round bale" weighs? LOL)
