Less than 3/4 of me left!
Congratulations. I know nothing about insulin but I am slowly learning about diabetes since my wife was diagnosed as having it this past summer. She takes meds but not insulin. I suppose you'll still have diabetes but not so severe that you need insulin. Just check with your primary doctor.
Some people get discouraged when conditions that may be caused by obesity do not get completely healed when they lose the disired weight. I'm not saying this with regards to your condition. But we must remember that many of the conditions/medical problems that we got because of obesity are also found amonge the general normal weight population. Having WLS is not a magic bullet that heals all medical problems.
If I sound like I'm off on a tangent, I'm sorry. I should probably be asleep right now.

Thanks! I control my own insulin levels. Actually a type 2 diabetic with insulin resistance. At one point I was on 480 units, 240 before my op and 40 units now. My Dr and I have agreed that at 30 units we'll increase my tablets ant stop the insulin...YAY! It'll be hard work and I realise that I may have to go back on insulin at some point, but it will be such a huge FART for me as insulin really triggered the need for the operation in the first place.
I'm wondering where the 30 pounds is coming from, hopefully not my backside as I'm having trouble with tailbone pain. Would like to lose from my stomach and ego

Man, I can identify with the "tailbone" comment. Even at my highest weight, I didn't have much of a butt, and now that I've lost a few pounds I can really feel it if I sit on a hard surface. I'm sure it will get better as I lose more weight (fewer pounds per square inch), but in the meantime... Can't wait until I can start exercising again to build up my glutes!
5 days out, and the Unjury "Chicken Soup" protein powder is the highlight of my day! Man I can't wait for Stage 2!
