Back from the hospital - finally
You are now a member of the losers. Sorry to hear about the difficulties, but in the end you may feel it was well worth it.

Hey guys, thanks for all the encouragement. I'm doing great, really. The hernia thing is a pain in the butt, but it's a small price to pay and will either get better on it's own or will be operable in a few weeks. Meantime, the belly wrap is actually pretty nice - keeps some of the pressure off the largest incision site, which is really the only pain point I've got that's worth mentioning. And the good old pain meds keep that pretty much under control.
A bit of humiliation this morning - took a shower, and couldn't bend enough to wash 'down there' and had to ask my wife to do it for me. Sheesh! This too shall pass quickly, I'm sure. I'm still a bit bloated, but day by day, hour by hour I'm feeling a lot better.
Time to go for another walk, do my breathing exercises, and see about "supper" (next batch of Isopure). Learned that the chocolate works great with skim milk, but the pinapple-orange-whatever one is pretty yucky with milk. (Trying to get as much protein down as possible.) Next time, I'll try it with jus****er. I'm going to treat myself to a sugar free popsickle when I finish my walk.
I sure am glad you guys all went there ahead of me, and told me what to expect. As a result, I can keep a pretty positive attitude, knowing that it's happened to others before me, and they all made it through... And all things considered, I really would rather have the hernia than be stuck with the catheter for another week! Man, I hated that thing!
I think I hear my wife telling me it's time for another lovenox injection...
