Today I am tired

So usually I try to keep an upbeat outlook, as at times it is the only thing that gets me through.  Well today I am having a real hard time with it and am just tired.

I am tired of working to get all my fluids, which has been difficult this week.
I am tired of working to get all my protein.
I am tired of always being cold.

It is not a good week, kets hope next week is better.

You know, it must be common to get down about all of it a few months after surgery. I went through the same thing (although the strictures and gall bladder didn't really help matters any). I actually went several months with real buyer's remorse. Then, all of a sudden, everything seemed OK again. I'm still cold, but the food issues are not looming over me as they were, and I've been able to get more active. I actually overall feel much better.

Long story short, keep your chin up. It really does get better.

It is that damn hormones getting fu**ed thing we have to go through.  Like Ken says hang in there and it'll get better.  As to the being cold that is par for the course and like the loose skin it is one of the curses from getting healthy.  It ain't nothing that can't be endured with a hot shower or a warm woman!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Paul here is some support back at you for all the support you give. This too will pass and you'll be better for it later. Thanks for all your help over the last few months!

Thanks to everyone!

I know it will pass.  I find it funny that all through the last 11 weeks of batteling ulcers and having an even more restricted diet (liquids and pureed) I was able to keep my positive attitude, even when laying in the hospital.

I know that less fat means less insulation, and totally fine with that.

Hopefully getting back to some exercise tonight will help turn me around.

off to TKD class.

One odd thing is about feeling cold.  I don't think it has much to do with losing fat as insulation.  But being cold following surgery is common with many people across a wide variety of WLS types.  It's strange in our house that I'll often be in a hooded sweatshirt and long pants while my wife is in shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.  Her problem is with women's issues  But it has become a little more tolerable since we replace our heater and ac.  Still, I'm here in my hooded sweatshirt and the temp indoors is 72/

 Hey Paul,

You've been through a lot!  And, it is OK to feel down, frustrated, and tired.  You've earned that right.  Your last line is the best, "lets hope next week is better"...it is hope that keeps us going through the bad days.  You've made great progress in spite of your set-backs.  Hang in there.  Go buy yourself a nice hoodie or sweater or something warm!  Treat yourself...according to my wife, that is good therapy.  Hang tough!  Things will get better.
Eating junk food and CRAP is not a reward...it's a punishment...
it's a DEATH sentence...Reward yourself with Good Health!
