Nope.  You're likely to be 50 pounds lighter by then too!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Agree with Don...in 9 1/2 weeks, you'll be tearing them up....and everyone who knew you before will be in awe of the "new you"....Good Luck!

I'm only 3 weeks post-op and I'd do (right now) in a heart beat. But, I do have a couple of suggestions (not all WLS-related).

Wear Good Shoes:  I've always had problems with my legs and cement floors. I bought some great "sneaker" shoes that have springs in the sole. Makes a big difference on cement floors.

Wear Support / Compression Sox:  I picked up a few pair of compression sox at my local sports store. They provide great support and minimize fatigue when I'm on my feet a lot.

Keep Hydrated:  I know you probably won't be doing a lot of strenuous stuff. But, just moving around more than usual does make me a little light-headed if I don't increase my water in-take.

Sit Whenever Possible:  Don't be shy about sitting or even leaning against something.

Best of luck on both the surgery and the competition. Remember, we all have this surgery so we can actually LIVE life. Don't hesitate to resume or increase your normal activities after surgery as long as you can tolerate it.

High Weight = 310     Surgery Weight = 300   Dr's Goal = 200   My Goal = 190

Physically you should be fine. But be aware that you will be about 40-50 lbs less and it may affect your coordination a bit. so good practice time maybe needed.

9 1/2 weeks you should be doing great.  I did my first 5K at 11 weeks.  The one thing to remember, but will start becomming habit by then, is to stay hydrated.
