Nervous as hell

I remember your feelings all too well.  I was very nervous weeks prior to my surgery, as i've never had surgery or never even been in a hospital overnight before prior to this.  But a couple of days before the surgery, a calmness came over me and i was perfectly fine.  Truth be told (barring no issues), it's really harder on your family and friends than it is on you.....the waiting part that is.  I remember my family saying how LONG they were waiting to hear back from the doctors on how the surgery went as they waited for me to be done.  But for me.....it was like going to sleep and immediately waking back up....seemed like nothing at all!  Sure, then the pain was there a little...(thank god for morphine), but all in all, it was rather uneventful for me.  So i wish the same for you!  My only regret is not doing it much sooner.

WOW! You are smiling in your picture this time, and not that fake looking one like in your last.

Awesome progress!

I woke up my wife the night before surgery...asked her "am I doing the right thing"?  She said "You've thought about this for months, prayed about it...Looked at it from every side...Yes...Now get some sleep".  I couldn't sleep that night.  Surgery went fine and haven't looked back.  Brian  PS  Then there is the old...Couldn't I diet and exercise really hard just one more time!!  Been there...Done that...

Ill make it short ( I hope )...... Yes anxious and worrisome scared pre-op but I have NEVER had a regret of doing it since I laid on that table with moments to spare. The sleave(rny-pouch) pain with drinking fluids and the incision was real and it started me to deal with them from the start.... The worries pre op is just that ... manifested in your thoughts.... Upon recovery you will physically and mentally prepare your self with the discomforts of a newbie.... But trust me and all of us, it gets better with time after surgery!!
