I was glad to see the scale move a bit this week, but even happier that I am now officially down 10-inches in pants size. I've gone from a 60 waist (always with some sort of elastic or 'comfort waist' feature) to a 50 inch non-elastic waist. In shirts I have moved from a 6XL to a 2XL. I've spent a fortune on clothes in the 5 months since my surgery only to give them away a few weeks later. I'm not complaining, though. In fact, I'm looking foward to giving away more in the coming weeks.

At 205 lbs this week, up a few pounds, so still in my "stall" hang'n between 201 - 205.  I hope some of the gain is muscle mass, as I've been doing more strength training at the gym.  Feel great!  Am told I look great!  LIFE IS GOOD!  Have a great week all!

389 this morning, down 22 lbs 2 weeks.  One wee****il surgery.  The surgeon wants me to lose 20 lbs (been there, done that!) before surgery, but I want to lose at least 30 lbs to make both the surgery and recovery easier.  Eight days and a wake-up before RNY surgery!  I'm both dreading it and excited about it - probably makes sense to those who have been through it.

I did the same. My surgeon wanted me to loos 35 pounds. I lost 48. He told me the more I loose the easier his job is. I was all about trying to make his job as easy as possible.

Good Luck!!!

Things have been tough  the past few weeks.  Since my diet progression has been impacted by my 2 bouts with marginal ulcers I have been on liquids or pureed foods for most of the time.  This makes my intrest in food and desire to eat even less.  My progress has slowed I believe do to me not eating enough.

On the plus side I just got home this afternoon from taking a bunch of cub scouts and their families camping.  I did the lake hike which I never dreamed of in the past and either walked or jogged every where I went and was never out of breath.

People worried about me constantly but I did better than most.  THe hard parts were meals and then s'mores around the camp fire but I had a stock of SF pudding so I had my campfire treat.
