Having some problems!!!!
Has anyone developed a Hiatal Hernia after having RNY? I recently had a portion of my colon removed and I thought this abdominal pain I am having is from the surgery, but a CAT Scan revealed a small hiatal hernia.
When I eat, I'm getting an excrutiating pain in my upper abdomin (around the pouch). I am throwing up a lot of what I eat and it's not the typical "I ate too much" or "I didn't chew good enough" throwing up that us RNYers are used to.
Can anyone with similar symptoms or diagnosis tell your story?

Basically, here's what happened. My WL Surgeon is the one that has fixed my internal hernia in May, my bowel obstruction in July, removed the part of my colon that was wrapped around other parts of my colon, removed an absess in my pelvic area that was caused from teh colon surgery, reopened my incision when it got staph infection, and also treated the pneumonia that I got while I was in the hospital. So he is very familiar with my history (since RNY).
He is on vacation this week, so I haven't been able to talk to him. I have an appointment with him next week.
What I was hoping to find here was someone with similar problems that can give me some pointers in how to get through the next few days before that point. Are there some foods that stayed down easier than others. So far, I haven't found much. Did yours get better on its own or is surgery the only option?
Naturally, my surgeon will want to do surgery, but if there's a way around that, I would prefer to try other options first.
